Eyebrow Temporary Tattoo - Microblading

I have been meaning to blog about this earlier... but see how late it has come to be... I have been obsessed with my eyebrows since I got my profile pictures taken last year. My best used to tell me since the beginning of time that I needed to get my eyebrows done. I never realized that she meant they were too non existant and that if I actually HAD any, it would look much better. Since I have a very high forehead, eyebrows really help a lot in defining my face, and having no eyebrows I used to look really tired on pictures without makeup, but with eyebrows I don't even need any ^^

When I think of eyebrow tattoo I think of grandmas with white hair and black smudge lines where the eyebrows should have been, but microblading is not permanent (so you can let it go away if you change your style). They make micro cuts on the upper layer of your skin and put dye in the cut, which gives for a year ish of eyebrow that look very natural because they are actually lines that imitate the style of the eyebrow.

What sucks is that I actually had eyebrows, and they were just perfect for my face. When I went to Japan in high school I saw everyone pluck theirs and started to try and make mine thinner like theirs.... and they never grew back. Nature is well done. We are just too stupid to see it...

That is the natural state of my eyebrows now... shame on me.

I did not want my face to be messed up so I asked a friend for advice and she referred me to a common friend who was also doing microblading (she had done my eyelashes before, but eyebrow tattoo never came to discussion so I had never known she did that too). She first put a numbing cream and waited 30 minutes for it to take effect. Then she drew the shape of eyebrow on me for her to stencil on and when we agreed on the shape she started cutting. It felt really weird. It was not painful of course because I was numbed down, but I KNEW she was cutting me so it felt weird.

She is using a one-time only knife that is sealed and disinfected so no worries there, and she uses gloves and is very careful with handling tools so good for feeling safe.

That is me in the 10 ish minutes after cutting when she leaves in the die to sink in the shallow cuts. I love that look. Right?

After it's done there is no pain, no swollenness and no weird look if only that the die is freshly put in so eyebrows appear a bit dark on the skin. Plus you're not used to the sape on your face so it does feel weird. She gives you a fast healing gel to put on with a Q-tips if ever it becomes scratchy. There is nothing to be worried about really. Not the sun, not the water nothing. Think of it as you scratching your knees: you just wait until it heals and not scratch it. The only thing is you can't go swim in the following two days after the procedure (bacterias yay).

Two weeks later you get to go again and do a retouch to make sure the shape is fine, then every 3-6 months you can do touchups for 50$.

So yah, basically just getting my old shape back.

Oh, and it was 150$. How cheap is that!
