I know that I am skipping lots of stuff in between, but as White Day just ended, I figured I should just blog along right away before I get a month late in the news, like my Valentine's Day blog...
If you are aware of the way Asia goes with the 14th of the months (Korea especially so), you'll know March 14th is the payback for Valentine's day. There are technically 12 commercial celebrations all throughout the year on the 14th of each month, but to be honest, the only few that are really followed by everyone are Vday, White Day, Black Day, and Kiss Day - although, even for kiss day, most people don't care that much.
Feb. 14th - Vday. Girls give chocolate to the one they love
Mar. 14th - White Day. Boys give candy to the girls they like (apparently used to be a white ribbon they'd give, and not candy - in Japan, anyways - thus White Day)
Apr. 14th - Black Day. Lame single people go out, wear black, and get black noodles to mourn their lack of partner.
May 14th - Another couple day, Kiss Day. I'd just go for kissing people day, but since it need to be commercial, people give Hershey Kiss chocolates to each other.

So yesterday I got my first White Day present ever :) This must be the biggest lollipop in the world. Unfortunately for lollipop lovers that wanted me to send them a lollipop care-package after reading this, this is NOT a lollipop, it is a box with candy inside. Actually I expected it to be filled with lollipops of normal size, so I was actually surprized to ses it was filled with snacks.
