Valentine's Day

I had a very busy week around Valentine's Day, and the previous day, my birthday, was actually one of the worst day of the year 2015 so far.
I guess I should have expected it, since my birthday fell on Friday the 13th this year, but I had hoped that since it was my birthday, you know, the curse would be lessened.
I have never really expected anything for my birthday since High School, just because it always tended to either be forgotten, or I'd overly plan and it would not be half as enjoyable as I expected. Two years ago, I basically got fired from my workplace on my birthday week, and I should have stayed with this dread for birthdays, but last year, everyone at my workplace make something so sweet and unexpected, that this year I had hoped for a little anything.
My coworker got a nice ice cream cake and a little time for birthday fun on her birthday, so while I did not necessarily feel like eating cake, I was at least expecting a happy birthday.
But no.
It was the kindies' graduation day at school, and everybody forgot about my birthday, let alone a cake. It's silly, because I usually never expect anything for my birthday. It's a time of the year when everyone is busy doing their own things so I don't keep my hopes up.
However. This year, I dont' know. Probably because they did something sweet for my co-worker on her birthday, I had at least expected a little something for mine.

I was pretty sad. I also knew I would not get to hang out with my boyfriend before the weekend, and even then, he had to go to the hospital (something minor, no worries) on the 14th, so we didn't really get to do a super special Valentine's Day either.
Anyways.
I went and did something special for VD. I went to the culture center at the 41 Tower in Mokdong with my friend, and we made chocolate truffles. It was a special Valentine's Day workshop we suscribed to together and it ended up being lots of fun.

Not only the end result was gorgeous, it was super yummy, and we even made boxes to put the truffles inside! Gotta love Korea and their overly intense interest on cheesy stuff.
